The work

The kids grew up. The fort stayed.

A backyard playscape is a lot of lumber bolted into a lot of posts. After a few Texas summers the wood is splitting, the slide is cracked and the swings have not moved in years. It will not fit through a gate in one piece, and it will not fit in a trash cart in any.

We take it apart where it stands. Swings and slides come off first, then the fort deck and roof, then the posts and beams get cut down small enough to carry out. Everything goes on the trailer and leaves with us.

Selling the house, putting in a pool, getting the yard back, or just tired of looking at it. Same job either way.

Playscape removal questions

Do I need to take it apart first?
No. Taking it apart in the yard is the job. Swings, slides and the fort come down where they stand, the posts get cut or unbolted, and everything goes on the trailer.
What about posts set in concrete?
Tell us when you call. Posts can be cut at the ground or the footings can be dug out, and those are two different amounts of work. We will look at it on the free on-site estimate.
Can you get it out of a fenced back yard?
Usually. A wooden playscape gets cut down into pieces small enough to carry through a standard gate. Let us know about locked gates and dogs ahead of time.
Can you come the same day?
Same-day service is available in most cases. Call early and we will tell you what the day looks like.
Will you donate it if it is still in good shape?
If the set is solid and safe, we try to get it to someone who will use it before anything goes to the landfill.
Can you take other yard junk on the same trip?
Yes. The trailer is already there. A trampoline, old patio furniture, a rotted deck or brush piles can all go in the same load. See junk removal.
How much does playscape removal cost?
