Cleanouts
Garage cleanout
Cleared back to the walls. Boxes, shelving, old furniture, bikes and whatever has been stacked in there since you moved in.
- Loaded where it sits
- No sorting required
- Shelving broken down
- Floor swept
The work
The car has not been in there for years
Garages fill up one weekend at a time. A move, a remodel, a kid going to college, a parent downsizing, a project that stalled out. None of it is trash exactly, which is why it is still there, and none of it fits in the trash cart, which is why it stays.
The job is simple. We show up with the dump trailer, you tell us what goes, and it gets carried out and loaded. You are not dragging a treadmill down the driveway and you are not making six trips to the landfill in a borrowed truck.
A lot of garages come out in one load. A full three bay with a loft, or a garage plus the shed and the attic, can take a second one. We will tell you which one it looks like before we start.
Sequence
How the cleanout runs
-
01
Walk it with us
You point at what goes. If something is staying, say so and it gets moved out of the way instead of onto the trailer.
-
02
Hazardous items get pulled aside
Paint, fuel, chemicals and propane come out of the pile first and stay with you for a household hazardous waste drop off.
-
03
We carry it out
You do not drag anything to the curb. It gets loaded from where it sits, including the back corner and the overhead rack.
-
04
Shelving comes apart
Wire racks, plywood shelves and old cabinets get broken down so they load flat instead of eating half the trailer.
-
05
Floor gets swept
The spot gets broomed out before we pull away, so you are looking at a slab and not at what was under the pile.
-
06
Load goes to the landfill
The trailer leaves loaded and gets tipped at the landfill. Nothing sits at the curb waiting on bulk pickup.
The list
Goes on the trailer, stays behind
The second list is short and it is not negotiable. The landfill will not take those items off the trailer, so they cannot go on it.
Goes
On the trailer
- Flattened and stacked cardboard
- Storage totes and boxes nobody has opened
- Broken shelving, cabinets and workbenches
- Old furniture parked in there after a move
- Bikes, scooters, car seats and outgrown toys
- Treadmills, weight benches and exercise equipment
- Grills, patio furniture and coolers
- Mowers, edgers and yard tools
- Scrap lumber, leftover tile and half bags of mortar
- Washers, dryers, spare refrigerators and freezers
- Carpet remnants, blinds and old doors
- Bagged trash and everything swept off the floor
Stays
Set these aside
- Paint, stain, thinner and solvents
- Motor oil, gas cans and antifreeze
- Pesticides, fertilizer and pool chemicals
- Propane tanks and pressurized cylinders
- Ammunition and anything explosive
- Asbestos containing material
- Medical and biohazard waste
Household hazardous waste goes to a county or city collection site. Ask us on the phone and we will tell you what we know about your area.
Pricing
What changes the price
Volume
How much of the trailer it fills. That is the main number, and it is why photos help so much on the phone.
Weight
Disposal is charged by weight at the landfill. Tile, concrete, dirt and a safe weigh a lot more than boxes and plastic totes.
Heavy items
Gun safes, upright pianos, chest freezers, riding mowers and full workbenches take more than two hands and a hand truck.
Access
A driveway we can back the trailer up to is fast. Alley access, an apartment garage or a long carry is slower.
Open the garage door, stand at the end of the driveway and take two photos. Text or describe them when you call and you will get a real number instead of a range.
Proof
We do not have a garage on camera yet
Every photo on this site is from a real Elite job, which means there is no garage cleanout photo to show you. We are not going to put someone else's stock garage here.
What we do have documented is the same work in other rooms. A trash enclosure in Kyle packed with a mattress, a dryer, a recliner and boxes, and the trailer that left loaded with all of it. Apartment turns cleared out and hauled. A shed packed to the door with boxes and garden tools. A load being tipped at the Guadalupe County landfill on FM 1150.
Same crew, same trailer, same load out. See the Kyle cleanout or browse every documented job.
