Worth knowing

Mattresses are bulky rather than heavy, so they price off the space they take on the trailer. Six sets fill a trailer faster than most people expect.

Hazardous material still cannot ride along: paint, solvents, chemicals, propane tanks, asbestos containing material and medical waste need a licensed disposal route.

Do you take the box spring and the frame too?

Yes. Mattress, box spring, base and frame all go on the same trip. Nothing has to be taken apart or bagged first.

Can you take it out of the bedroom?

Yes. It does not need to be at the curb. King mattresses and box springs come down stairwells and out of apartments regularly. That carry is part of the job.

My apartment complex will not let me leave it at the dumpster. Now what?

That is most of why people call. Bulk items left beside a trash enclosure often come back as a fine from the property, so the mattress has to leave the property instead of moving thirty feet. We load it out of the unit and it goes.

What if the mattress has bed bugs?

Say so when you call, before the crew arrives. It changes how the mattress gets handled on the way out, and it is worse for everybody if it is a surprise at the door.
