Why the shortest drive matters

Elite Demo and Junk Removal starts every day in San Marcos. No dispatch center two counties over, no franchise routing a truck down from Austin. The trailer is already in town.

San Marcos generates a specific kind of work. It is a university town, so a huge share of the housing turns over on the same few weeks in May and August, and what gets left behind is mattresses, couches, particle board desks and whatever would not fit in the car. It is also an older town with 1980s and 1990s backyards, which means weathered decks, hot tubs nobody has filled in three years and fences that have been leaning since the last hard freeze.

Both halves of that are on this page in photographs. The rest of this site borrows from San Marcos for proof because San Marcos is where the work is.

What this town calls about

Three patterns

  1. 01

    Move out weeks

Mattresses, box springs, sectionals and desks stacked at the curb or crammed into the dumpster enclosure. Complexes call, landlords call, and so do the students who got charged for leaving it. See mattress removal and furniture removal.

  2. 02

    Backyards that aged out

The deck that is soft underfoot, the spa that has not been filled in years, the shed with a caved roof. That is demolition plus hauling in one visit. See deck removal and hot tub removal.

  3. 03

    Enclosures that overflow

Once bulk items block the container, the regular waste service drives past and the pile grows all week. Clearing the pad is a standing call for managed property here. See junk removal.

Kyle is a few exits north, Buda past that, New Braunfels south. Same crew, same trailer.

San Marcos questions

Do you pick up in San Marcos itself or just the outskirts?
San Marcos is the base. It is the shortest drive on the board and where most of the documented work on this site happened, from Rolling Oaks to the apartment corridors on the north and south ends of town.
Can you get a mattress out of a second floor apartment?
Yes. Stairs are part of the job. You do not need to drag anything to the curb first. If it is easier for you to set it out, that is fine too, both versions get loaded.
I am moving out of student housing. How late can I call?
Call as early as you can in move out week. That stretch is the busiest run of the year in this town and the calendar fills from both ends. (210) 723-9325.
Do you tear out decks and fences, or only haul junk?
Both. Demolition is the part most junk haulers in this market do not do. The deck job above was a full tear out: boards, framing, posts and the debris pile, all in the same visit. See deck removal.
I manage a property here. Can you handle turns?
Yes. Unit trash outs, enclosure clears and bulk pickup after a move out. There are two documented San Marcos jobs of exactly that kind in the photo library.
Is there a San Marcos office I can stop by?
No. Elite Demo and Junk Removal works out of a truck and trailer, not a storefront. Everything gets set up over the phone.
