Out of the room, not off the curb

Old furniture is heavy, awkward and does not fit in a pickup. The crew shows up, takes the piece apart if the doorway calls for it, carries it out and loads the dump trailer. Stairs, elevators, side gates and narrow hallways are part of the job, not an upcharge surprise invented at the door.

What we cannot take

Furniture is straightforward. The limits are the same hazardous material rules that apply to everything else on the trailer: paint, solvents, motor oil, pool chemicals, pesticides, propane tanks, asbestos containing material and medical waste all need a licensed disposal route.

If a piece is soaked, mold covered or came out of a fire, say so on the call so the crew brings the right gear.

Furniture is priced by volume first. A sectional eats trailer space the way a dozen boxes never will. After that it is the carry: ground floor and a wide door is quick, third floor walk up with a turn at the landing is not.

How much does furniture removal cost?
It comes down to how many pieces there are, how big they are and where they sit. One recliner at the curb is a quick stop. A sectional, a dining set and two dressers out of a second floor apartment is a different job. Call (210) 723-9325 with a rough list, or send photos, and you get a number.
Can you take furniture out of an upstairs apartment?
Yes. Stairs and long carries are normal. Sectionals come apart, bed frames come apart, and the pieces go down one at a time. You do not have to have anything at the curb before we get there.
Do you take a single piece?
Yes. One couch, one desk, one broken recliner. Single item pickups are regular work here.
Do I have to be there when you pick it up?
Sort that out on the call. Plenty of the apartment and property management work in the photos was loaded off a curb or a trash enclosure with nobody standing there, but it depends on where the furniture actually sits and who has to let the crew in.
What happens to the furniture after it is loaded?
It goes out on the dump trailer and the load gets tipped at the landfill.
