Kyle is the next real town north of San Marcos and it is in the same county. Ten miles of interstate, no county lines to cross, nothing complicated about getting a loaded trailer there and back.
The work here reads differently than San Marcos. Kyle has grown fast and a lot of the housing stock is newer, which means less rotted decking and more of the other thing: rental turns, garages that filled up in five years instead of thirty, and leftovers from new construction.

What actually happened
Bulk items had filled the enclosure to the point that the container could not be serviced. Appliances, a mattress, upholstered furniture and boxes came out by hand, went onto the trailer in one load, and the pad was left clear so the regular waste pickup could resume.
