What was there
A backyard spa in San Marcos that the owner was done with. Hot tubs are the item people call about after they have already tried everything else. The trash service will not take one, the scrap yard does not want fiberglass, and it will not fit in a pickup bed.
This one had a clear path from the pad to where the trailer could park, so it came out in one piece. That is the fastest version of this job and the cleanest for the yard.

How it went
Four steps, one trailer

Drained and off the breaker
A full spa holds hundreds of gallons and is not moving anywhere. The tub was empty and the power was off before the crew touched it.

Off the pad and stood upright
The photo shows the whole crew tipping the shell up on edge next to the trailer. On edge it is narrower than it is wide, which is what makes a gate and a side yard passable.

Loaded whole, no cutting
The path out was wide enough, so the shell went on the trailer in one piece. No saw, no fiberglass dust in the yard, no pile of cut sections to sweep up.

Cover, steps and equipment too
The spa is not the only thing that has to go. Cover, cover lifter, steps, surround panels and the pump and heater behind the panel all leave on the same load.
What does not go on the trailer
Spa chemicals. Chlorine, bromine, shock and acid are household hazardous waste and need a licensed disposal route. Empty jugs are fine. Full ones stay with the homeowner.
