A move out pile at an apartment community in San Marcos. Two couches on the curb, and next to the trash bins a stack of mattresses, box springs, a flat panel TV, loose foam and cardboard.
San Marcos runs on student leases, so this pile shows up every turn season. City trash will not take a mattress at the curb and the compactor will not take a couch. Both need a trailer.

Mattresses, box springs and cushions go on before the hard furniture. They compress under weight, so they ride at the bottom and the load sits lower.

Couches and the TV panel
Couches take two people and a plan. The TV panel goes on separately: broken glass in a mixed load is a hazard for whoever unloads it.

Curb cleared before the next turn
